PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  SORRY, WALK-INS ON-SITE ARE NOT ALLOWED.

As we conclude our winter GOGO season, we will do a competitive "chase." This is done in a reverse chase format. Points and times earned from this past winter's GOGO  events will determine your start time. Slower navigators get an earlier start time and faster navigators get later start times.  If the math works out with the SloCo calculation, then most participants will arrive to the finish around the same time.

Awards are presented afterwards for both the Winter GOGO Season as well as for the Chase.

ALL ARE WELCOME - hikers, runners, first-timers and old-timers.  If you are not competing but want to go out and go orienteering recreationally, come on out!.  Oh, and this is a NEW map!

COURSES OFFERED:

​

ADVANCED - 3k in distance, approx. 20 controls

BEGINNER - 1.6k in distance

​

When you register online, you will have the option to select if you are competing in the Chase (Competing/Participating) or going out recreationally (Not Competing).

TIMES (all EST):

12:30 PM - Free Beginner's Clinic - limited to 9 persons - please register for the clinic on the registration page.

 

1:00 PM - Starts Open

4:00 PM  - Courses Close and Control Pick-up Starts -  Everyone must return and check-in by this time.  This would be a great opportunity for additional practice of orienteering skills by helping pick-up controls.  Please see the meet director to volunteer.  Extra hands will make the work go quickly.

COST:

​

$10.00 for members and $15 for non-members - includes one map and one loaner sanitized fingerstick (if needed).

$3.00 for an extra map.

All must be paid through the registration page.  No money will be collected on-site.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES:

We are required to follow the conditions outlined below per our application for the permit with:

• Cedar Ridge Camp event permit

• Keep Kentucky Healthy Application with the Governor's Office

• Orienteering USA's COVID-19 Guidelines and Insurance Requirements

The wear a mask rule applies to when participants are in the event area, prior to and after orienteering.  You may remove your mask for running, hiking and orienteering in the forest.  Masks are required regardless of vaccine status.
